Project Overview

FLOAT X supplied a modular buoyancy kit system for a major offshore survey contractor in Brazil, designed for flexible subsea operations at water depths of up to 3000 meters.

The client required a buoyancy solution that could be quickly configured and adjusted for different subsea tools and mission profiles, instead of using fixed, single-purpose buoyancy blocks.

The FLOAT X Solution

FLOAT X delivered a Modular Buoyancy Kit made from deepwater-grade syntactic foam with a protective PU coating.

The system consists of stackable cylindrical modules with different buoyancy ratings:

20 / 50 / 100 / 300 / 500 kg

These modules can be freely combined to build the required buoyancy for different subsea equipment quickly and efficiently.

Project Result

The buoyancy system was successfully deployed in subsea operations and, according to the client, “performed very well in operation.”

This modular system significantly improved the flexibility and efficiency of offshore equipment configuration.
